Our Veterinary Nurses
Colleen
(Senior Equine Nurse)
Hello!! My name is Colleen.
I work at Manly Road as an Equine Vet Nurse. I have
worked at Manly Road for two and a half years. As well as
working here I also still work in a thoroughbred racing stable on
the weekends, where I strap horses at the races or look after the
rest of the team at home. I also have two horses of my own.
Pretty Girl is a pinto mare who is now retired, Byron is an
11 year old thoroughbred gelding which I ride at pony club and
hopefully complete on (one day). When I'm not working I like to
take my dog Bella for a walk or play with my cockatiel (Chocco) and
galah (Pinky) and also love gardening when I get the
time.

Nursing Certificate in 1998, in New Zealand.
Studied
Bachelor of Animal Science, in New Zealand.
Started
nursing at Manly Road Veterinary Hospital in 2004. Left for 2
years. Had a baby. Came back in 2006. Now pregnant and about to
have second child.
I have
one golden labrador - Ben, a russian blue cat -
Leo (who has been adopted by a friend), and a black &
white DLH cat - Felix (who lives in New Zealand).
